The Disappearance of Meaghan McCallum
30 year old Meaghan McCallum was last seen in Montvale, New Jersey on March 11, 2015. She was last seen leaving her grandmother’s house in her 1998 black Subaru Impreza.
Background
Meaghan graduated from Montclair State University with a degree in English. She has bipolar schizoaffective disorder, and had stopped taking her psychiatric medication prior to her disappearance.
After having a disagreement with her parents over the medication, Meaghan moved in with her grandmother.
Disappearance
At the time of her disappearance, Meaghan McCallum was staying at her grandmother’s house in Montvale, New Jersey.
On the night of March 10, 2015, Meaghan stopped by her parent’s house to pick up a phone charger.
At 3:30 am on March 11, 2015, Meaghan was last seen leaving her grandmother’s house in Montvale, New Jersey. She was driving a black 1998 Subaru Impreza with New Jersey plate N32 EAY.
She hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Meghan has struggled with mental health issues, but there were no indications she planned to run away. Loved ones say she would never go anywhere without her dog Sweet Pea, who was left behind at her grandmother’s house.
Investigation
The last ping on Meaghan’s phone was in Montvale, New Jersey. Her debit and credit cards have not been used since she went missing.
On April 11, 2015, Meaghan’s vehicle was found abandoned in a lot at Pier Village in Long Branch, New Jersey. Her cell phone, car keys, and wallet were inside the vehicle.
Surveillance footage shows Meaghan walking from the Long Branch parking lot in the direction of the boardwalk at approximately 5:30 am on March 11, 2015. This is the last confirmed sighting of her; no further clues as to her whereabouts have been found.
Appearance
White female with brown hair and brown eyes. Meaghan stands 5’5 tall and weighs 210 pounds. She has a tattoo of flowers and a black spider on her foot, and a dolphin and castle tattoo on her lower right back. She has scars on her wrists.
Clothing & Accessories:
Meaghan was last seen wearing a short sleeve shirt, a light brown shearling type jacket, a black skirt, and boots.
